BTSBA/OAL Middle School 2025 Has Begun!

Beat the Streets Bay Area is excited to host another Spring season in Oakland in 2025!

We have expanded to six teams for the 2025 season. The season will feature four match nights and culminate with our Capstone League Championship at Oakland High on May 10th. Our participating middles schools this year are Bret Harte, Edna Brewer, Elmhurst, Madison Park Academy, Melrose Leadership Academy and Montera.

Competition Schedule 2025

  • Friday, April 18th at 5pm

  • Friday, April 25th at 5pm

  • Friday, May 2nd at 5pm

  • Wednesday, May 7th at 5pm

    *All Match Nights occur at Edna Brewer Middle School - 3748 13th Ave, Oakland, CA

How to Become a Coach

Give back to the sport you love by becoming a Coach & Mentor for Beat the Streets Bay Area.

Depending on the program, practices will be held between 2-3 days per week at various times.

Assistant coach positions (volunteer or paid) are available at some programs. 

To become a coach, all coaching candidates must:

  • submit an application and resume

  • be interviewed

  • complete all required paperwork and clearances (including background check, Live Scan, Safe Sport, TB clearance, First Aid/CPR)

  • BTSBA Coaches Seminar

  • USAWrestling Copper Coaches Training
