Another Step Forward for Beat the Streets Bay Area

On Wednesday May 29th, 2019 Beat the Streets Bay Area made a couple of large steps forward as an organization. The first was holding the first face to face board meeting in the organizations short history. Up until this point our board had been meeting on biweekly conference calls. During the meeting the call for programming and strategic planning committees were again focal points of the board. Moving forward the scale in which we grow will be hugely important to our ability to ensure we provide the highest quality programming possible.

The Luncheon

The second part of Wednesday was the BTS Bay Area Networking and Fundraising Luncheon. Putting together a room full of people who are interested in benefiting youth in our communities is something we have wanted to do since the beginning, and this was the first time we have pulled it off. Roughly 70 people representing a broad cross section of wrestling, education, finance, law, and non-profit entities showed up to support and share ideas and a meal. It was great to see the support for our mission and the work of our Board Chair Larry Kane and the rest of the team pay off. Thank you to everyone who attended and to everyone who donated. We are taking the necessary steps to create significant positive impact in the Bay Area through Wrestling.
